Arch Galloway II is a business associate at The Potomac Advocates. Previously, Arch worked from 1997-2007 on the staff of U.S. Senator Jeff Sessions, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, as the Senator’s Senior Defense Policy Advisor for Defense, Foreign Affairs, NASA, Veterans, Corps of Engineers, U.S. Coast Guard, and Intelligence matters. Prior to joining The Potomac Advocates, Arch worked as a Senior Government Relations Advisor, King and Spalding LLP, handling a portfolio of Defense, Homeland Security, and Foreign Affairs issues for clients. Through 18 years of continuous Hill representation, Arch has worked tirelessly for clients and on a vast array of issues important to national defense.
Before joining The Potomac Advocates team, Arch served as a US Army officer with over 28 years of service at all levels of command–platoon to the field army level. His combat service includes a tour in Vietnam as a Vietnamese Ranger Advisor. His military experience extended from mechanized, air assault and light infantry operations, to service as a senior war planner, plans officer for Operation Just Cause, and later during Operation Desert Storm as the Chief, Infantry Team, Force Development Division and staff officer, Army Initiatives Group, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations and Plans. Arch later served in the Army’s Office of Congressional Affairs, U.S. Senate, where he monitored Congressional legislation and programs as well as serving as the military escort for numerous members of the Senate traveling to Russia, China, the Middle East, the Balkans, Somalia, and extensively in Western and Eastern Europe.
Arch Galloway is a graduate of The College of William and Mary holding an AB in government and philosophy. In addition, he holds a Master of Public Administration from Central Michigan University, and a Master of Military Arts and Science from the Advanced School of Military Studies, Ft Leavenworth, Kansas.
Arch and his wife, Carol make their home in Howard County, Maryland.
